Challenge

Make a prototype of a serious game which will give players first insight or better understanding of

Cradle to Cradle (C2C) and preferably give them tools how to use C2C in their designs.

The target group for the games is professionals in the product design business.

Serious Game

Cradle 2 Cradle  is a biomimetic approach to the design of products and systems. Products can be used in continuous cycles as the same product without losing their integrity or quality.

Product places

We designed a board game in which I made the idea of a game with the four places: natural resource, landfill, production factory and disassembly factory.

Ideation

Brainstorming

Made a brainstorm to decide what type of game we want to make and how we implement the Cradle to Cradle in the game.

Finally, we had chosen for a board game with dices.

The board

During the project, we had different approaches how to design the board. Finally, we want a simple board with a clear difference of the four places.

Laser cutting | Assembly

The packaging of the game is also the bank during the game. Super functional!

Our Goal

“A game designed to teach Cradle to Cradle in a fun way.

Implement the cradle to cradle in the strategy of the game, so people only win when they use it the right way.”

Creation

Logo

A playfull logo with the 'R' of Re-use and 'P' of produce. Including the arrows in a circle of reusing/recycling (cradle 2 cradle)
